Project Description

This is a personal project. I got the idea form our teacher showing us how we can make animated gifs in photoshop and I got inspired to make my own. I wanted to try out animation and decided to do something simple for me where there isn’t too much movement.

It’s an animation of my character Kasia watching a spirit float around.

Making this, I learned about lighting. I had to think about where the light would hit depending on the position of the spirit.

Process

I completed this animation in a single weekend because I was really motivated and inspired. I started out with a paper sketch which I traced in photoshop. I then animated the spirit first and added the lighting afterwards. As a last step I (of course) showed off to my friends.
